Experience kayaking along the longest and most continuous fringing reef in American waters, some 30 miles in length (60-70 km). Kayak the backside and experience the highest seacliffs in the world. Kayak at sunset at a leisurely pace and relax and enjoy the famous Hawaiian sunsets.

Beginner to Advanced
Kayak 8 miles of Molokai's reef as the trades gently blow you from Kamalo Harbor to Rice Patch or Hotel Molokai. Experience an artists dream as you see the multitude of colors that the ocean has to offer.

Do some kayak surfing inside the reef, waves permitting. Watch the turtles swim up the coast and who knows maybe see some whales during our winter months. This trip is perfect for those that want to experience as much of the Molokai as possible by sea. This is a great addition to the East end kayak tour that finishes at Kamalo. Day 2 of kayaking can complete this down wind adventure of kayaking.

The kayaking can be done for intermediate to advance paddlers,. The tour is done inside and outside the reef tide permitting and is one of the safer places to kayak in the State of Hawaii.

Two options are available of 5 miles and 8 miles. The 8 miles is catered more to the advanced kayaker.

Beginner to Advanced

Kayak 6 miles of Molokai's reef as the trades gently blow you down to Kamalo Harbor. Experience an artists dream as you see the multitude of colors that the ocean has to offer.

Do some kayak surfing inside the reef, waves permitting.

The kayaking can be done for intermediate to advance paddlers,. The tour is done inside the reef tide permitting and is one of the safer places to kayak in the State of Hawaii. This is the longest stretch of pristine reef in the United States. This trip can be part of the whole Downwind adventure on the South shore when adding on the trip from Kamalo to Hotel Molokai.

Snorkel the reef, conditions permitting experience sea turtles, whales when in season and other marine life. Bring lots of sunscreen and water. Includes, kayak, lifevests, snorkel equipement. Tide and weather permitting.

Sunset Kayak Tour ON HOLD

Kayak among the fishponds and reefs. Kayak from Hotel Moloka'i to one of Moloka'i oldest standing Hawaiian Fish ponds.
Relax and enjoy the evening, watch the sun go down and paddle back to the beach while watching the first stars appear in the evening sky.

Kayak The North Shore

MOA can help arrange your North Shore excursion by renting to groups quality ocean kayaks with rudders. MOA will also arrange for your group to have transportation to and fromHalawa Valley and have a boat pickup from one of the valleys back side. It is imperitive to do all the research first prior to planning this trip and to be in contact with the Nature Conservance if planning to go to Pelekunu Valley. Kalaupapa and Mo'omomi is out of bounds and once again it is imperative to preplan before taking this trip.
